spring with xfire with jsr 181

It does work! It took me a while to figure it all out, but finally got it to work with the latest spring and xfire and jsr181. Thanks to the article http://www.memestorm.com/blog/basic-spring-web-services-with-xfire-and-jsr-181/

The next step would be to figure out how to configure security http://arsenalist.com/2007/01/18/implementing-ws-security-with-jsr181-annotations-using-wss4j-in-xfire/

Migrated my web sites to Tomcat 5.5, russian stopped working for sslm.hts.edu. I figured out the content rendering issue, now have to fix the Mysql handling of the UTF-8.

ubuntu vs.fedora

For a long time I had problems with FC6 installation on my laptop, things like hibernation, not been able to switch between X and text mode. After an attempt to put FC6 on my old desktop (and it pretty much failed miserably, the wireless card was not recognized, the sound was not working, etc...) I've had enough. It took only few hours to install Ubuntu on both machines - everything works and happy.
